Resin Black Bear Heads from Luke Chueh (made by Silent Stage) and ready to be yours, IF you can find Luke roaming the aisles of New York Comic Con! Yes, he is selling it out of his bag, not from any booths, so you are recommended to stake out his Twitter and Instagram @lukechueh to see where he leaves his trail!

And while "prices" remain unrevealed, there are 30 pieces to be had … and, oh yes, here are some images of CUSTOM PIECES to gawk at instead!

Internet Memes made into toys. I've featured them before, and now YEY has them listed up for crowd funding on http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/memes-toys, with the first two being produced TROLL FACE and ALONE FOREVER.

If these teasers for a BLACK Edition of Luke Chueh x Jason Freeny's "Target: Self-Medicated" by Munky King does not send tingles up and down your toy-loving spine, I would not know what will.

The Army of Snipers' booth at Singapore Toy Games and Comic Convention saw the trio of invited guests Aaron 'angry Woebots' Martin, J*RYU and Luke Chueh sketching up a storm, and as well presenting these fine selection of items - displayed at STGCC and posted below - which are currently available for purchase online, with enquiries directed to mastermind@flabslab.com. Time to get your AOS-on, folks!

Making a display debut at the event was also "Locket and Phainein",m a collaboration between J*RYU (sculpted) & Bjornik (painted) with this piece sized 3.75" and priced at US$250 per.

"Army of Monkeys" by Army of Snipers Revealed! (#STGCC 20130

Saturday, August 24, 2013

Previously featured as WIPs, "Army of Monkeys" by Army of Snipers has been revealed in it's final finish! Looking like they have been unearthed from centuries of idoltry, I am truly liking these series. And as well an all-original piece debuting at STGCC is always a treat!

Luke Chueh's "Look No Evil" sees his eyeballs plucked from their sockets and in his hands, along with a "new" sculpted-signature in lieu of his bear-symbol. Angry Woebots' "Hear No Evil" rocks the headphones to drown out the noise of the devious world, while J*RYU's "Speak No Evil" sees his simian counterpart being chained and silenced by his much loved ghost girl.

Produced by Silent Stage, look for the "Army of Monkeys" at next weekend's STGCC via the Army of Sniper's booth! (Neither quantity nor prices are as yet revealed)

The Making of "Army of Monkeys" for "Army of Snipers" @ STGCC 2013

Monday, August 19, 2013

Chueh No Evil, Woes No Evil, JRYU No Evil

Looking at these three sculpts of the "ARMY OF MONKEYS", I cannot help but think of the three gentlemen from Army of Snipers - JRYU, Aaron "Woebots" Martin, and Luke Chueh - who will be descending to Singapore for the month end's STGCC … nevertheless, here so some splendid looks at what might be expected at their booth come August 31st - featuring sculpting by JRYU - who is also bringing along Niddos the Owl! ... heck, what am I saying? They ARE the 3 gentlemen! LOL

No product details as yet - nevertheless, you can check out the instagram video JRYU posted here (where the above images were screengrabbed from) = *NICE*

Luke Chueh's “Random Acts of Sadness”

Tuesday, August 13, 2013

PRESS: "The art of “Random Acts of Sadness” finds Chueh’s animal personas coping with his sad and tragic narratives. As the name of the show suggests, Chueh drew inspiration from whatever came to mind, from his childhood reflections, Asian heritage, personal recovery, and experiences as an artist. In his new work, Chueh’s creatures live in universal contrasts of adoration and atrocity, echoing a decade of his art. “Random Acts of Sadness” is probably one of my more truly introspective shows,” says Luke Chueh."

Launched at CIRCA, you can as well view individual artworks via www.coreyhelfordgallery.com (might require a fair about of clicking tho…), and as well I am personally fascinated with this wall-mounted "Jack" - as sculpted by Julie B. and process of making the piece viewable/readable via prettyinplastic.com.
